bootload.bin

This file contains the secondary bootloader of the OMAP5948 HMI-System. When the OMAP starts up, it first executes some tiny primary bootloader (PBL) in it's own ROM in order to determine the location of a bootable device. For the navigationsystem this part, the SBL is in the external Spansion Flash-Chip on the mainboard. At the beginning of this Flash there is this bootloader located (start address 0x0000 0000) and take over control.

The bootloader contains some subfunktions:

This file can be found in /dnl/bin/system/arion/f_ls_rvc/ and /dnl/bin/system/arion/ford_lsr/ and are completely different.

The one in f_ls_rvc-folder has version DI_ARION_PSW_7.5V18 (build February 2008: 0802150746, full version info: NAV_DI_ARION_PSW_7_ARM_arion_518SD_0802150746)
and the one inside ford_lsr is DI_ARION_PSW_7.0V37.
